He just takes styles from all of the popular current artists and pretends he's old school at the same time. Another white kid who fails to impress, although he's at least a little more tolerable than mac miller.
I was impressed. It pulls off being a technical white dude without being ridiculously tedious or corny. Just after a while it all starts to blend together and it's all just one big throwback to 90s NYC hip-hop. Definitely recommended, but I mean you might as well be listening to the stuff he's trying to sound like some of the time. Kind of cool that he sampled Joanna Newsom, tho.
