So rarely do I ever find an entirely acoustic album that speaks to me as much as this one has. Probably the biggest standout for this album for me is Tom's brilliant lyrics. Adressing the unity of the masses, class oppression, scene politics and a number of other topics that, while being specific, can still apply to many situations in life. If Tom Gabel ever wanted a solo career, he could easily become the Bob Dylan of this generation. I particularly like "Those Anarcho Punks Are Mysterious" as you have to be absolutely soulless to not want to sing along to these empowering anthems. Whoever knew an acoustic guitar could rock so hard?

there are very few albums from my teen years that i still love to this day for reasons other than nostalgia. of course nostalgia probably plays a big part in why this ep is one of my favorite albums, but this ep is just perfect. the desperation in tom's voice and the lyrics just make it so hard to fight the urge to sing along. its just such a genuine and fun album that seems impossible to dislike.
