brutal/technical death metal here. i think these guys have some potential. they are technical but
rarely devolve into wank (though they arent afraid to play more simple riffs when needed;
songwriting comes first here). the production is crystal clear without sounding sterile and
digitized. the drums are 100% natural with no triggers used (as they boast on their youtube video
for the title track) and they sound fucking great. the man behind the kit (who makes use of his
entire arsenal) shows some impressive talents, always finding creative ways to complement the
guitars as they explore many different tempos, time signatures, and rhythms. lastly, the vocalist
has a slightly unique delivery. its...throaty, but guttural at the same time...i guess. idk, its
kind of hard to explain. it becomes most obvious when hes doing his lowest growls (example: at
1:10 on the title track). i dig it though, he sounds like a rabid abomination that broke out of a
lab of demented experiments (although that album cover is probably influencing how i think about
it). check it out for yourself.
