I think this is buy far Skillets best album. It's one of those albums that I like more every time I listen to it. It has a good division of soft songs and heavy songs. Most of it is done with great emotion. It has a very dark sound to most of it, but it's not depressing. A little more is the soft song of this album and it is very emotinal and melodic. THe title track is pretty soft too. Then there is Cycle Down, and Savior. Some of the heaviest christian metal riffs I have heard. None of the album is very fast, but it drives very well. Each song sounds different. There's maybe two or three songs on it that I don't love. My favorites are Savior and A Little more.
Some great songs on here. I love Open Wounds, Savior, and Imperfection very well. Most of the other songs rock pretty well, but the two ballads are somewhat lazy. Also, this album would need more variety to get the 3.5.
