Bon Scott at his bawdy best! DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP was actually AC/DC's second studio album and was released in
September 1976. It wasn't issued in the U.S. until five years later and sold well due in part to their success of 1980's BACK
IN BLACK. While it's initial reception wasn't tremendous, it is now considered by many fans (including myself) as a classic
album.
Bon's lyrics contain a mixture of leering sexuality ("Squealer", "Big Balls" and "Love At First Feel"), menace ("Ride On")
and a tongue in cheek wink to let you know that he was just having a bit of fun with his listeners. The Young brothers also
deliver the goods with such now classic riffs as "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", "Problem Child" and even the manic rockabilly
of "Rocker". Angus Young plays an appropriately heartfelt blues solo for the mellow "Ride On". Although "Ain't No Fun
(Waiting Round To Be A Millionaire)" grooves quite repetitively, the pay off is getting to hear Bon deliver the line, "Get
your f*king jumbo jet off of my airport."
DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP is easily one of my favorite AC/DC albums. When I think about the tragic loss of Bon Scott in
1980, I try instead to reflect on how much he made me laugh and smile on this particular record. What would a good drunken
singalong be without a rousing rendition of "Big Balls".

Not so explosive as the debut album. However, it has some catchy tunes and some dirty but enjoyable lyrics. Recommendations: "Dirty Deeds", "Big Balls", "Problem Child"

A solid debut effort from a band that would go onto become one of the greatest hard rock acts ever: 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' shows the full range of height and tone in Bon Scott's voice, 'Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round To Be A Millionaire)' proves, through its street-smart schemin', that these boys weren't just sleazy boneheads and 'Ride On', a slow, woozy tale of regret, but not reform, highlights their ability to play slow and still have real power. The average stuff like 'Rocker', 'Love At First Feel' and 'Squealer' brings it down however.

As the name implies, this is a down and dirty album. It's really awesome. It has a ton of classic songs. The title track is really awesome.

To me Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is by all means equal in entertainment and playable to its predecessor High Voltage. It's title track along with Rocker are the stand out tracks, and overall the album seems to cohere better than High Voltage. However, there is no monstrously awesome song that serves as a climax or milestone in the album. Not to mention it has Squealer and Big Balls which brings the whole album down with its ineffective double entendres and almost annoying lyrics. Although this album receives high praise as their #3 release, I think it?s the weakest of Bon Scott's.

My second favourite AC/DC album. Every song is a classic, and features the late Bon Scott on vocals. If anyone is planning on getting into this band, I highly recommend this album.
