The final album for Bon Scott, who tragically passed away a few months after the album's release. Tied with Back In Black for their best record, it is surely impossible to resist the rock n roll boogie of this album. Everyone likes some AC/DC, even if they don't want to admit it. Many would call this their greatest album of all time. I wouldn't be too slow in agreeing with that.

For a while now I've only had Back in Black - which fully deserves its reputation, being one of the greatest rock albums ever made.
Going on that scale - Highway to Hell is a level above.
You can see when other reviews don't understand AC/DC; using the same argument that the songs are all the same. That may be true on a very basic level, but the depth of these songs is in the subtle differences. The simplistic nature of the music makes the little details - licks from Angus, Scott's frankly perfectly fitting vocals, or another defining hard rock riff - involve the listener completely. It's this kind of music that you can really rock to, choruses that some to a crescendo with more layers than the rest of the song.

Not even kidding, I love every single song on this album! If you love high-energized rock 'n roll, with amazing lyrics, some fret-ripping guitar riffs and solos, this album is a must! This album, for sure, deserves a 5/5 rating. It is a masterpiece!

Sadly, this was Bon's last album with the band, but he gives his finest performance here. The whole album is just classic all the way through. This is also the heaviest AC/DC album. Real classic.

This is where AC/DC started to become a great band. The songwriting on here is vastly improved from earlier albums as AC/DC is writing about the same things [sex and drugs], just in a clearer and more mature manner. The songs are very catchy and they have great guitar riffs and solos. A very enjoyable listen.

I never cared about these guys before but now I almost have all of AC/DC's albums! This album, Highway to Hell, kicks butt! This is great rock and roll, plain and simple! Angus is one of the best guitarists ever and this album just rocks! A classic.
