| 4.5 superb | IamInExile | March 6th 11 | This is probably their best release yet, it can't be compared with their other albums coz it's different. Welcome Home Armageddon is full of energy and new ideas. 'Old Hymns' is something new for them, it's a punk song with great vocals from Matt, best song on the album. Other standouts include: Spinning over the island, Owls an the Iron maiden-ish title track(Listen to the opening part of the song and you'll see what I mean). Only song that doesn't do it for me is 'Man Alive'. Great album. Review coming soon.

| 4.0 excellent | Mark Adams | December 18th 12 | FFaF come through on all of the promises they made on past albums. This is their most complete to me.

| 0.0 | Camstr | March 21st 12 | I really liked the direction FFaF took with their last couple albums, despite what a lot of other people said. But it wasn't until I listened to their newest release that I realised how much I missed the old FFaF. Welcome Home boys!

| 2.0 poor | Crowe | July 21st 11 | Alright, so it's been a while since Funeral For A Friend have been (at least fairly) good, rand Welcome Home Armageddon guarantees that it's going to be longer still until the band finds its feet - if ever. The instruments pound harder; the general tempo of the songs is faster, yet the songwriting just isn't there at all. Throw in the use of the painfully grating screams of drummer Ryan Richards again - a dreadful habit I had hoped the band had long since stopped around 2005 or thereabouts - and you have quite a painful-to-listen-to effort that will no doubt underwhelm you. Hints of something good is to be heard hear, I admit; but hints don't make a good song, much less twelve of them, now do they?

| 4.0 excellent | Luke Naim | July 4th 11 | Everything about this album is TIGHT. Kudos to the new guitar player too.

| 4.5 superb | Joel B. | March 16th 11 | It has been said but let me reiterate: this is F4AF's best work to date. Its catchy and doesn't suffer from the inherent flaws that made up their recent records. I've been hitting the repeat on this since I got it and it hasn't gotten old yet. An excellent comeback from these guys and i'm looking forward to more.

| 4.0 excellent | Erik Bailey | March 14th 11 | I've always been a huge fan of FFAF, but have never been able to give any of their releases anything above a 4. For now, that trend isn't going to change, but this may eventually receive a higher rating. Welcome Home Armageddon is by far FFAF's best album since their debut. It is extremely well-written and the production is spot on. Essentially this album is a return to their roots. except now the roots are stronger and better than ever.

| 4.0 excellent | Plank | March 10th 11 | The bastards have made me fallen in love with them all over again. Just like blending in the pop sesibilities of hours with the heavier feel of casually dressed... yet amped up to the fucking max.

| 0.0 | Deviant STAFF | March 9th 11 | Despite being an excellent album in its own right, Hours wasn't the definitive sequel to Casually Dressed And Deep In Conversation that we were all hoping for. At times it was a little too earnest, asking for too much and spreading itself a little too thin as a result. Luckily, Welcome Home Armageddon is the definitive part 2 we didn't think was possible after they fucked up the same idea just a few years ago and left us with only a hollow shell, that being Memory And Humanity. The newly revitalized FFAF are playing up to all their collective strengths for their first LP of the decade, their brand of infectious and pop-catchy post hardcore riveting and all consuming, the palpable energy displayed perfect to sweep you up in the now requisite gang chants. And Kris finally goes batshit on the guitar, which is about fuckin' time. Welcome back

| 3.5 great | Fernando Obregon Espinosa | March 9th 11 | Good, really good, they definitely stepped up in comparison to their previous two records. Still sounds like FFAF, this record won't change lives, but it's more than just an entertaining listen.

| 4.5 superb | Del Mar | March 7th 11 | Absolutely no filler to be found here. Funeral for a Friend finally listened to their fans on this release and returned to what they do best: post-hardcore. While some may argue that WHA does not top CDADIC (I am not one of those), it is clear that this is the best guitar work we've yet to hear from them. While I'll always love Darrins contribution to the band, it is clear he was holding Kris back creatively, and Gavs switch to guitar has reignited the spark that first made me notice FFAF years ago. Yes, this means the riffs are back, and bigger than ever. Let it also be said that Richard is sounding incredible on bass. I hope they keep this lineup for years to come.rStandout tracks are Damned if you Do..., Man Alive, Old Hymns, Broken Foundations, and Owls.

| 4.0 excellent | Deathcar | March 7th 11 | Welcome back to relevance FFAF. It may have taken 8 odd years, 2 bad albums and a lot of wasted time; but we're glad to have you back, and showing the kids how it's done.
