Human Experience is an absolutely fantastic hip-hop album that is criminally underrated. It quite possibly one of my favourite listens of all time. The LP is chalk-full of intellectual and emotional lyricism accompanied by incredibly fitting and atmospheric instrumental backdrops performed by a live band. Neither the MCs nor the band steal the show and operate as a unit almost flawlessly. The line up is similar to that of the Roots, but the execution is much different. A must-have for any fan of music.

The lyrics are both thought-provoking and rhythmically-inclined, the instrumentals are deliberate and measured, and the songs are sufficiently differentiated so as to sound neither disparate or clone-like; yes, Human Experience is an excellent hip-hop record. Great for night-time listening, or for whenever you're in the mood for some jazzy, laid back grooves.

This album is just as consistent w/ delivery of creative & invoking lyrics, but I still felt a bit torn on this album's identity... The first half has more of an erotic (r&b) feel while the second half audibly has the "Message of the Streets" feeling. Both sides are great on their own, but I think that's partially due to the track order. If mixed differently, I could see this as another 4.5/5 rated album like their first effort. All in all, this is still a very solid album!
