For Inquisition's newest album, there is some great material on here. Everything was excellent and there were some very unique riffs but for the vocals, not so amazing (the vocalist literally sounds like Popeye from the old cartoon).
I love black metal, I had no problem with the vocals here and still I'm not a fan of this album. The production is great, there are some exellent riffs but I did not feel any maturity behind it. The large majority of the songs follow the same stucture with clear verses & chorus, everything is made to be catchy, the riffs can sound a bit too similar sometime, there is a pretty weak replay value overall and the lyrics (since it is comprehensible here) are very cliché? Therefore, at the end of the day, it remains too superficial for what I'm searching for in a black metal album. Still it is a fun and enjoyable album, but far from a classic in my view.
