Guitar and bass are the high points on this album. Guitar leads are pretty interesting when they're not just trem-picking the shit out of everything, and the bass is definitely the best thing about the album. You can hear it well in the mix, and it's actually thought-out, not following the guitars but adding that extra layer that this album would be worse off without. It gets a chance to shine during the slow, Meshuggah-esque melodic sections as well, such as the one in the latter half of "Symbolic Awareness". Drums and vocals are alright, blast-beating a little too much and being run-of-the-mill, respectively. It's a little long at 50 minutes, but it's a decently worthwhile BM release from this year.
