Through hordes of gimmicks, awkward musical elements and predictable lyrics. Get Scared have created an EP that has catchy hooks and sugar coated vocals juxtaposed with other aspects that don't help it stand out in the slightest from other bands in the genre. They play it too safe.
I've been teetering between a 3 and 3.5 on this. While the poppiness is nearly irresistible, the lyrics could use a large amount of work, and they rely too much on gimmicks at times. This definitely shows a lot of promise though, maybe their LP will have been slightly refined.
