Who says trance has to be high energy to be entertaining? Amazing instrumental work throughout, and a perfect fusion of Ibiza chillout and hints of techniques found in more high energy trance tracks. However, I wish there were a few more vocals here and there. rHighlights:rOffshore '97, The Drive Home, Sunstroke, Offshore (Original)
Simple, beautiful, and emotional are probably the best descriptors to phone in with Chicane's unbelievable album, Far From the Maddening Crowds. The album relies heavily on delicate atmospheres and airy synthesizers that are juxtaposed into one amazing listening experience. Every song here displays brilliance and has that "summer reminiscence" affect; you'll perhaps look back on your summer and remember good times while listening to the album, particularly Chicane's arguably most stellar song 'Offshore.' This album is overall captivating, remarkable, and one hell of a journey.
