A lot of Drudkh and Agalloch esque clarinet solos goin on here. Very woodsy oriented approach here. Like Ulver's Bergtatt but not quite as Norwegian. It's atmospheric ok but it's no ambient drone. Melodic but no sissy In Flames melodic faggotry. Talk about conjuring the old pagan gods in an effort to kickstart the rebirth process early. 2012 is Ragnarok. Face it folks. We're gonna be dead in 3 or 4 months. Doesn't matterm the world will be reborn anew as hybrid man animals. Mannimal. The Tick. Whatever your choice. You could come back as an elf tree or spiked dulcimer dildo if you want. No judging here. A hippie

With this flavor of black metal, it's all about atmosphere and capturing the momentary pairings of places
and emotions. Torn Beyond Reason generously delivers in this aspect and manages to do so without boring
me to tears in the process.
