AHAHAHA!!! This is more like it! After getting rid of much of their fanbase with the previous pair of shitfests, SFU return like clockwork (new studio album, EVERY two years) to further their reputation as the laughing stock of the metal underground. Musically, SFU sound a little more inspired here, with some fairly catchy ditties working their way through the appropriately crusty production. But there's just one problem... Barnes' voice is shot. I mean, it works in the context of this album, because his attempts at vocalisations are little short of hilarious, but as a capable death metal vocalist, Chris Barnes' days are done. Overall, this is a fairly fun, but entirely stupid album.
I like it. A couple of songs toward the end suck, but overall it's enjoyable as a death metal album. The best part is when Chris screams OH MY FUCKING GOD! in Sick In The Head.
I don't know about you, but I can't get through the album simply because of Chris' vocals. He used to be good in Cannibal Corpse, but here he sounds like a grandpa who smokes 50 lbs. of weed a day, which he probably does. It's so painful to listen to.
