This is an epic release if you're a fan of ambient black metal. Although I would say it's more ambient in a style of Wolves in the Throne Room or even the song 793 from Enslaved's Eld release (Viking metalish in a way) than something like Xasthur or Paysage d'Hiver. I think the only people who could rate this poorly are ones who already don't like this style of BM. It's extremely atmospheric and there are practically no vocals throughout the whole thing - lots of killer riffs however. Give it a full listen, most likely will really dig it.
Combining low-fi atmospheric black metal with elements of folk and ambient The Battle of Vosad may initially be a a rough listen, but over time the soothing melodies and droning song nature is appreciated.
