intro could have been more impressive with a little more space between piano left hand melody and drum ..........fiddle could have come in sooner to accompany the second verse .................... fiddle dont have as much impact to match the great drum roll leading it in ...... love the fleetwood mac warmth in it though .......... love the acoustic guitars.........very rootsy love it ........ lisnin as i type ..........big drums lov big drums ............vocal is very gutsy love it .............. a touch of electric guiatar riff in the back would have given this a nice poppy feel too .. nothing wrong with giving a rootsy song like this a poppy vibe ......love the oppneing ...... the oppenning verse feel is lost some how on the second verse ............ maybe coz the vocal melody change .......yah the drums definitely sound out on the there own and well over the lack of fiddle attack/presence ...... but great feel of that fiddle .............
honestly, at first listen I didn't care much for this album. Then I discovered the band was going to be playing here in my home town and went on a HUGE Murder By Death kick and listened to this album more and more and started getting into it. Then, when I saw the show, the energy in the band and in the songs they played and I'm now in love with this album.
