This is album may suprise any fans of Dylan. Strangely this is the first Dylan album I heard and while not his best is slightly underrated. Four songs jump out. Billy 1 and 4 are similar in that they tell the story of Billy The Kid and Pat Garrett not to disimilar to Desolation Row lyrics wise. very dramatic and heartfelt with some fine work from Bob on the harp. Knockin on Heavens Door is an essential Dylan track which most people know. Billy 7 is odd yet good. I dont think Bob sings on this (Kris Kristoffosen?) but is a good final song. the other tunes are instrumentals and mere fillers.... D/L Billy 1,4,7 and Knockin On Heavens Door!
