Amidst racial tensions, the oncoming Tet Offensive, and an unsettling ardor amongst the hearts of many Americans, Samuel 'Sam' Cooke, indeed, brought it on home in one of the best live albums ever pressed. Without his soulful, doo-wop influenced, arsenal of vocal range and delivery, many entertainers such as the Otis Reddings, Al Greens, Marvin Gayes, and James Browns of the latter generations, would have ceased to exist. He not only exemplified a style of singing, but also a natural charisma as an entertainer.
