| 3.5 great | John A. Hanson STAFF | October 3rd 09 | I've gotta be honest, usually I don't particularly like rap as hyped up as this especially due to the type of rap it "is", but damn if this isn't a damn good record.

| 4.0 excellent | fromtheinside | September 20th 09 | This album is supposed to help usher in a new era of Hip-Hop, and to be quite honest I was fearful in the beginning. But KiD CuDi's first major label debut sure helps cure the inhibitions I started growing without merely giving him his proper dues. Cudi is able to reveal a sensitive side of Hip-Hop that has ceased to exist as of late. His flow is smooth but not overly contrived and that's very reassuring in a new artist. He does make the mistake of yielding to the mainstream guidelines now and again, but for the most part Man On the Moon is its own experience. Soundtrack To My Life is humbling hearing the artist recall the strengths in achieving what he has thus far. Heart of A Lion isn't afraid to show the fears that still circulate the artist, and still is able to inspire those who let it envelop them. Even after all is said and done Day 'N' Nite is still a refreshing track reaffirming this album as an excellent first step for the up and coming star.

| 2.0 poor | Maximilian Harkness | September 12th 09 | If Kid Cudi and Drake are the future of hip hop, i want to take a time machine back to the dinosaur age and stay there. There are so many modern MC's that are much better than both of those 'experimental' assholes, and if people noticed them maybe they'd get good productions. Just a waste of the occasionally interesting beat that usually appears every other track.

| 5.0 classic | ericksonnat | November 5th 09 | This is the best rap album i've heard in a long time. Finally something fresh to a somewhat bland genre.

| 4.0 excellent | Raymond P. | November 11th 09 | catchy songs with some feeling to them, only a few songs on this that arent amazing, so much replay value with this.
pursuit of happiness and up up & away are amazing

| 3.0 good | Matt C | October 29th 09 | I'd heard this was meant to be "SO GOOD", so maybe that's why I was a little underwhelmed. Solid record none the less, but didn't have as much replay value as his mixtapes and such.

| 4.0 excellent | SupaDupa | October 22nd 09 | Heart of a lion, Solo Dolo, Pursuit of Happiness, and Soundtrack to My Life are ALL phenomenal tracks, perfectly mixed, and developmental. He said, He did, period.

| 4.0 excellent | Personifried | October 17th 09 | A great album that is more resonant with Beck-like alternative than any hip hop contemporaries. Man on the Moon's unique lyrics, alternative sound, and cohesive theme make it a solid debut from a man who's music will likely make waves, yet never be the norm.

| 4.0 excellent | DhA | October 3rd 09 | grows on you a fair bit, at least half the tracks are top drawer

| 4.0 excellent | jcfiasco | September 25th 09 | unreal production alone makes this a great listen let alone that there is a sweet cd structure and solid lyrical content. this is for sure worthwhile to pick up.

| 3.0 good | braddean | September 22nd 09 | Good start from Kid CuDi, the album gets a bit stale in the middle to the point I found myself dazing staring at the wall not thinking of anything... All in all he should learn from this album n come stronger on his next

| 4.0 excellent | Kieran Vogel | September 12th 09 | this is awesome, better than his mixtapes
Bump |
| 4.0 excellent | Scott Smith | September 12th 09 | Not a perfect debut album, but leaves plenty room for improvement. Cudi is more of an experimental hip-hop artist
anyway, always has been since his first mixtape stoner charm.

| 3.0 good | xKERBYx | September 12th 09 | Really tends to drag for me. I wish that the songs had a little more content. Will probably check out his mixtapes.

| 4.5 superb | MCalle451 | September 11th 09 | WOW, this is really something different. i hesitated downloading this album but it downloading it was worth it, every song on this full length is great.

| 3.5 great | Sam Felldman | September 10th 09 | A decent, spacey debut from a talented up and comer. Keeps your interest with really fresh and original ideas. Anyone looking for a soundtrack to a night time blunt ride in the city should check out Man On The Moon.

| 4.5 superb | vincevega | September 10th 09 | Great CD, would of liked to see some of his other songs from his mixtape Kid named Cudi make it onto the tracklist. But still a good CD

| 4.0 excellent | Quade Elvin | September 9th 09 | well executed. well produced. cudi has created a great debut after a storming few months of mixtapes and hype. you would be hard pressed to find a better modern hip hop album. cool concept. v chill. awesome. does not dissapoint.

| 4.0 excellent | gasmaskman | September 8th 09 | Cudi may be having a bad trip but it'd be hard to make it better for the listener. Maybe if Common could just shut up and let us figure out for ourselves what's going on in Cudi's head.

| 3.0 good | Andrew Desjardin | September 7th 09 | The final product; after dozens of mix tapes and months of hype. KiD CuDi presents the world with Man On The Moon: The End Of Day. The big question is, was it worth the wait? It depends on the perspective, I personally find the album disappointing, because I know CuDi is capable of better. Truth be told I think both Dat Kid and KiD Named CuDi would have made better albums. MotM presents a few fan favorites from said mix tapes, but a lot of the new songs fail to impress new or old listeners. The entire narration done by Common is nothing more than an annoyance that pops up every 3-5 tracks to remind you this is a faux hip-hop story, or at least trying to be one.
The saving grace for this album is the solid production and very unique beats. If you can accept KiD CuDi falling short of his potential you'll probably love Man On The Moon. At this point KiD CuDi can only get better, or unfortunately much worse. I am very optimistic about his sophomore album, and MotM is a solid album, just not as good as I hoped.

| 3.5 great | Jake Saxman | September 6th 09 | KiD CuDi finally releases his full length debut, and it doesn't disappoint. If hip-hop continues in this direction then I think there is some great promise for the future of the genre.
