A predictable but solid release. It's definitely a step up from their last few albums, which often ranged from average to just plain bad. I don't feel compelled to give this anything higher than a 3 though, because the band really does nothing new here and they've done it all better before anyways. 1 Bumps | Bump

Over time Uplifter has revealed itself to be another solid release in the 311 catalog. My Heart sings is still the worst closer ever. Bump

Despite giving this one repeated listens and trying to be as open minded as possible, I can't help but feel like this was somewhat of another wasted out from 311. I wasn't really expecting a whole lot more than this mind you, but some where deep down I guess I hoped they'd rise above. There are some decent moments here, and the record drips positivity from every crack, so it's not all bad...it's just not really all that good either. Bump

been a 311 for years...they have influnced me beyond what i can imagine as a musician, and have opened the door for me to many diff genres of music. that said, I have to say this album is not much better that dtom which was prob thier weakest effort to date. unfortunalty, 311 seems to be losing their creative steam, they are just not the same band that they were in the 90's. I mean thats fine, bands change and evolve, but theres something about it..the song structures, the lyrics, whatever it is, that just screams to me a lack of effort. this is better than dtom but not by much. There are some highlights here..its alright is a great radio frindly single, but what really makes the song is pnuts bass solo. other standouts are diasy cutter, neverending summer, and jackpot. 3/5 Bump

Summer fun in all degrees. The heavy and fast, pretty and melodic, and the feel-good lyrics. With songs like "India Ink", "Daisy Cutter" and "Something Out Of Nothing" it's hard to ignore the obvious kick the band has at knowing how to inject energy into any tune. For a quintet to survive many years together and still produce original, positive music is something to be noted. Bump
