This album *shockingly* features Sierra Casady from CocoRosie, as well as their former guitarist Matteah Baim. Something I always liked about CocoRosie was that both of the girls could sing... now this is finally brough to a new and much higher level thanks to Desert Doughnuts. Haunting folk songs dominate the tracklisting with hints of rock/metal here and there - this is a chilling album, one that I recommend for everyone looking for something a bit... "different".
