I'm not a fan of Crunk Core. I'm not. Most of you reading this will see the rating i've given this album and think; What a troll. You probably think this whole thing is one BIG JOKE. Well prepare; It's not.
Brokencyde brought a new air of fresh dissident to this broken genre. I think that's the point of their name; they are out to kill the broken aspects of Crunk Core and deliver something beautiful the scene.
Everything about them, from the enormous talent of Phat J, to the swooning and sometimes altoghether glorious voice SE7EN, brokencyde just isn't messing around. And it's not just musical talent either; the tracks are composed with an almost Tool like dedication to progression.
The album's high point, "Still Waiting 4 U", features some of the greatest lines in the history of lyrics - "Until i hit the surface, so f&%$ the pain f$&* the past and f%$& your new friend i don't want nothing to do with what you're doing"
This line reminds us that music is sometimes poetic, with lines seemingly ripped straight from Shakespeare's mouth.
The fact remains that there is just too much to cover in this one review, and brokencyde remains the greatest band ever. Their debut album will forever be remembered as THE defining album of the 21st century, one that touched the hearts of millions and shaped a genre we all know and love......

This is better than their other efforts simply because they don't try to sell themselves as partying sex machines on this one. It's still poor though, but it's got a few songs that are average rather than awful and that should count as something

Brokencyde's first release The Broken, is much different from their following releases. Instead of screaming about sex and drugs to a generic club beat, they whine about their personal relationship problems. Songs like "Taking Lyfe From Me" sound like they are hopelessly trying to re-create early Linkin Park songs in GarageBand. The lyrics sound like something from a goth kid's diary, the vocals are flat out awful (rapping flow is awful, screaming is awful as usual, and the clean vocals are even worse), the beats are dumb, the acoustic guitar loops were probably made in GarageBand, and Brokencyde takes themselves way too seriously. It's not as bad as their previous works, but it's still awful.

This is without a doubt the worst thing i have ever heard.This is worse than Waking The Cadaver and thats saying alot.Mixing simple club beats with sub par screamo vocals is not cool...in the slightest.I heard that song Bree Bree and my ears bled, and not in a good way.Please tell me the person who gave this a 5 was being sarcastic.The name alone makes me cringe Brokencyde get it hee hee like broke inside wow aren't they clever...Thats obviously what all the little scene kiddies think they are, when they listen, to this obnoxious, incredibly poor excuse for music.
