This isn't music that can be taken on the surface, it is too hypnotic. I remember the first time I heard this. Those opening notes prepared me for what was to come. The droning riff came on and within the first minute I was locked in. But I turned it off because I wasn't prepared for one hour of riffage. I knew I had to get this though because I saw it at my record store and I thought it would go quickly. When I finally got it, I put it on and I was blown away. So heavy and atmospheric, totally changed my perception of heavy music. This is probably their masterpiece, but Holy Mountain is against it so that would be tough.
