good effort the band had to follow once a upon a time not a easy thing to do but there not a million miles away much more serious album than the latter but still worth enjoying

Good album. Some fillers. But the best songs (Street Fighting Years, Mandela Day, Belfast Child and Biko) is almost as classic pop-rock tunes as it can be from around the late 80s. Forget the boring songs and enjoy the above songs and you are in fine pop-rock.

I just love it when a band lays it all on the line... yes it is a political album, but is that really a bad thing. Everyone is entitled to an opinion even a band. Musically the band is at their peak, a little less arena rock a little more laid back, cuts like street fighting years, take a step back, soul crying out, this is your land and a great cover of Peter Gabriel's biko make this album a winner in my collection.
