One of the most hit or miss albums you may ever come across. Feature a very large cast of
extra singers, an odd (and overblown) story, and strange execution, Forgive Durden was
shooting for the stars in their musical. It is exactly what it says it is, pop punk in
musical form. The production and execution make this an interesting, if not, off-putting
listen. It's certainly unique among its genre but perhaps not in such a good way.
Theatrical elements flow vigorously throughout this album. It does follow many of the guidelines of most musicals and fights to have the same cliched themes. The story is quite a visual piece to imagine. Though there are moments where it seems to dwindle off nearly to unconvincing territory, but it's Timothy Dutton's vision of fantasy and his of love for Broadway that's displayed.
Quite an epic album. It great, never heard anything quite like it. Its great to hear a band willing to try new things. It pulls together seamlessly and I absolutely love the guest appearances on the tracks.
