I guess they think they had a winning formula with "Cult of Death" or something. More death metal and less thrash metal just does not suit Deathchain, and "Death Eternal" is just more proof of that. The opener is dull and lifeless, and the whole thing just drones on after that. The production is still hollow, as if they were trying to sound like a 90's Flordia death metal act. If this is the best you've got now Deathchain, then it's time to throw in the towel. No use in shaming yourselves anymore.
Almost couple of weeks ago I bought their second album "Deathrash Assault", which I liked a lot eventhough I found Deathchain through "Cult of Death". This album shares some same ideas and structures they used on their second album, but the sound is more darker. I think this is much better than their previous album...But hey I´m more into Death Metal than into Thrash Metal, and I can see if someone who likes their early stuff doesnt like the way this band is heading. Hopefully they will do gigs outside Finland!
