Well, this might even be better than Everybody Digs. Never thought I would be able to say that either due to the amount of love I gave towards his sophomore release on the initial listen. But Evans has somehow succeeded in blowing my mind out of the water once again. The music feel so sophisticated and relaxed yet somehow giddy, and the result is astoundingly beautiful. Album cover fits the mood perfectly as well. Love the background voices and claps near the end of certain songs, feels like you're placed into a night bar with a bunch of good friends. Sometimes I question why I love music so much, and this confirms it. Nothing to judge but the music and sound itself. No lyrics, concepts, really much of anything like that.. just the music - and it's honestly all you need. Looking like Bill Evans will most likely my favorite jazz artist of all time. Don't throw this term around very often, but he's genius.
