At first listen, you might dismiss Broadcast as being Stereolab ripoffs, but with this album they experiment with different sounds that develop a unique image. After their first album The Noise Made By People they have developed a much fuller sound. With the first album they rely on slow mechanical and reflective songs. With Haha Sound, they develop an array of sounds and a good rhythm on a few tracks. The album begins with "Colour Me In" which is a slow intro song to start the album. This leads to the second track "Pendelum" which starts off with a buzz and quickly develops into a constant rhythm. It might be the best song on the album and is certainly the most accessable. The rest of the album follows this style, with short instrumental songs that feature the experimental sound that has always been an aspect of persona. The instruments that are used on this album are much more present in listening to the album.
