one of the finest metalcore releases that has ever had the privilege to rape my ears. a true gentleman.

An insanely complex and layered album in one sense, and in another sense simple and brutal. Just fantastic stuff.

Strong 4
Another nearly flawless Drowningman Release.
Drowningman is Burlington based emo Mathcore band, that can be easily compared to the likes of ,,The Dillinger escape plan, Botch, Converge, Cave in'' and many more Mathcore greats of late 90s and early 00s. Their 1999 debut release ,,Busy Signal At The Suicide Hotline'' was not only one of the best Mathcore releases of the year, but it was mainly great introduction to the band's Spastic, fast, heavy complex and often layered Hardcore music, I've had just one little problem with that release, While I felt like ,,Drowningman'' was one of the more instrumentally pleasing and enjoyable outfits, I just couldn't catch on anything memorable or somehow unique or special on the band, and that sadly continues on ,,Rock and Roll Killing Machine'', even though the band improves on their sound even more, with adding more layers, cleaner mix and much more ambitious songwritting, I can't help but feel like they've been slightly overshadowed by some of their more unique contemporaries....nonetheless PHENOMENAL RELEASE....Plus the drummer of this band is out of this world

i can't believe i just got around to listening to this now, holy shit. fantastic example of
early metalcore. takes every great element of the early metalcore scene and perfects it to a
t: diversity, intensity, technicality, and adds a melodic element all their own while still
maintaining the intensity and chaos of the album throughout. an overall very memorable
album.
