Some of Becks most delicate guitar work are on this album. Not using a pick since about 1980 he is fingerpicking here. That + looking for crazy harmonics + stunning controll over the whammy bar makes his phrasing on this album out of this world.

16-year old me wept the first time he heard ?Where Were You?. Amazing! Jeff was the best guitarist the Yardbirds ever had.

Exceptional playing from the guitar legend. Beck?s mastery of the instrument is so evident, it?s as if when he picks up his Strat he fuses together with the guitar and the 2 become one. Great drumming as well, wonderful chemistry by the musicians involved. Such a treat to experience this work and I can?t praise it enough or explain its importance to me as not just as a guitarist but as a music lover as well.
