Thanks to Buddy's meticulous attention to detail and seamless construction, he is able to pay homage to his indie and hip hop heroes in such a way that the listener can appreciate how perfect MF Doom sounds rapping atop Jose Gonzalez' gently strummed Heartbeats, while still being struck by how much emotion the two artists can deliver when pitched with one another.
