Sly, sensual chillout music fit for a lounge high in the snowy mountains. It also
struts off this jazzy boldness that makes for hypnotizing trip hop music that doesn't
focus too much on being entrancing, but rather more on packing enough character
and personality to accentuate its stylistic alure. If Torrini, Bjork, and Sigur Ros are
any evidence, the Icelandic really have a knack for knowing how to create vast and
immersive soundscapes that have eletronic-based atmospheres, but feel as organic
as a nature-made monument. That aside though, this album is so intoxicating that
every song on here could be a possible contender for a main title theme in a James
Bond flick.
Changed rating from 5 to 4.5 after the album's effects wore off me. This album truly showcases Torrini's ability put emotion and experiences in her music, both lyrically and musically. Cannot recommend this album more.
