One of the best albums I've ever heard in Spanish. By a very talented art band. It sounds like an exotic album. La Pinta is one of my favorite songs, ever. El Aparato is nice. Has a catchy chorus, although the quality is lacking. El Metro kicks it all off with sexy keyboard notes, and stellar singing by Castro. Also, I saw them live once, so that might add to my bias. La Negrita, is such a mellow sad song about Mexican folklore. Such an amazing Mexican band..Also finally, La Ingrata, with it's Banda imitation is a funny song. El Borrego finally is almost a heavy song.

Cafe Tacuba are an experimental folk rock band from Naucalpan, Mexico, thir music is hard to describe, very experimental and eclectic, but always loyal to their Mexican roots. Re (meaning the "D" note in solfege) was CT's second album, probably their best, this is definitely their creative pinnacle. This album is classic, I believe these guys are the only Mexican band that everybody should listen to.
This is an eclectic album, mixing Mexican folk music, alternative rock, and art rock, it's very fun to listen to, and there's a lot of variety in the music. Their music goes from fun to trippy in one second, I really like the way they experiment with different rhythms to create something well... different, fresh and unique. If you enjoy listening to folk influenced alternative albums, check this one out immediatly, it's really worth a listen.
