Really fucking good. Years have been kind to ol' Atlas Sound. One day we'll realize what we've done to Bradford Cox, and here is a testament to the man untainted.
Average noise
That's it.
Good for some occasions, but, even then, there's better.
'Scraping Past' & 'Small Horror' are pretty good, while the first 6 tracks are pretty much trash. It's an alright experiment and could be pretty cool live...maybe.
Being a big Deerhunter fan, I expected a lot more out of this. I found myself to be quite bored often, although there is some cool stuff lingering here
Listening to Deerhunter then this is a pretty significant change. This album is extremely ambient. Great for listening to when you don't want to be distracted like during homework or reading or something like that but not that entertaining.
Based largely off loops the songs sounds very similar the first run through. Reading about cox really inspired me to give this album a listen and it didnt meet the standards i had for it.
I gave this a 2.5 based on my opinion in which i usually do not listen to much ambient based music. I like structure and lots of instruments. So if you like ambient music, this ones for you.
