2.5 average | Robbit | June 21st 16 | More of a novelty piece than a genuine NWOBHM classic. I can remember scratching my head about this album upon first listen 25 years ago and my opinion hasn't changed since. The songs simply aren't that great and the execution seems amateurish in comparison with Bruce Dickinson's later glories. "Vice Versa" is probably the only track I'd return for. The instrumental "Thunderburst" was pretty much swiped and retooled by Iron Maiden as "The Ides Of March" for 1981's KILLERS. More "meh", than "Yeah!"

3.0 good | LokitheTrickster | April 6th 12 | Some songs are heavy, but the first half of the album isn't very metal sounding. It's the second half beginning with Thunderburst that changes the pace and brings out the metal elements.

4.0 excellent | Fernando Alves STAFF | March 2nd 12 | Samson's first album with Bruce Dickinson on vocals is a must have to all NWOBHM fans out there. Excellent effort with a top level performance from "Bruce Bruce" that sometimes sounds just like Ian Gillan, definitely his major influence.
