“Living In The Fallout” from start to finish is nothing short of remarkable. Far From Finished have grown musically on this release and have shown that they are quite skilled in crafting complex dynamic songs with true to/from the heart lyrics. On their previous full-length “Eastside of Nowhere”, Far From Finished gave you a spirited album that was categorized as “Street Punk” ….. “Living In The Fallout” defies categorization. Sure it’s punk, it’s rock but it is much more. At times you hear elements of 50’s rock & roll (listen to the guitar on “Wanna be Catastrophe”), there are some pianos thrown in to help give the songs a greater feel (“The Imposter”) and there is even some gospel (“Just Us Kids (November)”).
All of the songs on “Living In The Fallout” are really good and the album has a nice flowing sound from track to track. However, I did get scared when I was looking at the song titles and saw “Watch Your Back”. I was thinking (sarcastically) great another cover from CockSparrer’s “Shock Troops” (great album but covered way too much). But it is an original as are all the songs. So do your ears and your soul a huge favor and pick-up “Living In The Fallout”.
