This album stands out as one of the best emocore recordings of all time. It mixes the soft-loud mechanics of Fugazi with the intense frenzy of Rites of Spring and can be as beautiful as any of Sunny Day Real Estate's strongest moments.
I would make passionate love to this music.
A good mix of silly and fun songs and ones that are more serious and shit. When the lyricist isn't turning teenage angst and cynicism to soap opera melodrama he writes some good lines that are relatable and shit (i.e. the first verse in "caught in a flood..."). It's much better than a lot of other similar bands who take themselves far more serious than their shitty poetry should allow. 3.6 out of 5 - FINAL RATING
I agree this does need a damn review. I've heard bullshit rumors that this band is faking every song, but if you think this is so, just listen to 'Less Than Nothing'. This is also part of my "most underrated" bands list. Hell, if Indian Summer can get a review, why can't this?
lol i still can't believe no one has reviewed this yet. anyway when the vocalist screams 'kamehameha!!!' in 'this isn't the tenka-ichi budokai' is one of my favorite parts in any song ever. plus the lyrics to 'destroy all mosters' is a Gamera quote. irony.
