This band has potential to be an incredible band. "Battle" metal is, for the most part, untouched by most mainstream power metal bands (Rhapsody of Fire is one of the only ones). Unfortunately, this potential just isn't shown in their debut at all. It's littered with flat-out boring songs for the most part. The 2 parts of The Serpent Strikes and Set in Stone are really the only good songs here, with some nice hooks throughout and great female vocals. Some of the other songs are decent, but otherwise, this is basically your average power metal album.
