My all-time favorite hip-hop album. Fluid production, with nice old-school sampling and laid-back beats, not to mention that sort of flangy distortion and the little noodly trippy bits that you'd expect from the psychedelic era. His lyrics definitely aren't coherent at times, but those times are few and far between and are usually overshadowed by the production anyways. All in all, a classic album and truly deserving of a 5 considering he put it all together himself. A master craftsman indeed, albeit a slightly off-kilter one.
Definitely one of the best, ever. Edan's flow is phenomenal, the beats (which are made by the man himself) are amazing, especially those on "Promised Land" and "Smile". The only remark I can make is the lyrics, that make no sense. But on the other side, this is another thing that makes this album special: a pure classic, even though it has never come close to mainstream.
Grrraaah I will write the review to this but seriously...this is the best hip hop album that's came out in the past 15 years. Dude gives props to all old school mother fuckers....Yeah METAL.
