Remember the days where RZA littered his music with sick beats? Remember the days when the clan members had such great chemistry? rThose days are all gone, and what is here is a messy cash grab with no harmony or groove to it.
The first 7 tracks range from pretty good to great, but then after that the album goes downhill... good listen for unapologetic Wu fans, but otherwise just listen to their first 4 albums and the classic solo material.
Definitely some weird songs here, a couple don't gel at all. As a longtime Wu fan, I can respect their artistic direction (sometimes). At least they're trying to be ambitious and not go in the same direction over and over again. That said, it's a better album than it's getting credit for. A solid last record overall.
