*grabs computer* HEY SPUTNIK, YOUR AVERAGE RATING FOR THIS ALBUM WAS GOOD. AND IMMA LET YOU KEEP IT, BUT THIS ALBUM'S RATING SHOULD BE A 3.5 AT BEST! AT BEST!
This album was excellent its first half, but it got really boring the second half. Despite its experimental, yet awesome, production and great lyricism, I just really dislike El-P's rapping. Mounds of arrogance are only justified by his production and his lyrics, not his flow, his voice, or his delivery. A great album, but I don't personally like it all that much.

Brilliance in all aspects of musicianship. Every year that goes by is every year that this album is looked upon as the forefronts of Underground Hip-Hop. Abstract philosophies, experimental propductions. In addition to this the album always sounds fresh.

Perhaps one of the most overlooked founding fathers of 21st century progressive hip-hop, Jaime Meline's Fantastic Damage is the follow-up to the revered Company Flow classic, Funcrusher Plus. Most notably, the 2002 release acts as a bridge between his hard working, NYC underground roots and his evolution into a successful producer and entrepreneur/owner/CEO of label Definitive Jux. While the chemistry of CoFlow is missed (while label Rawkus is not), El-Ps solo debut is at least as important - a 70-minute exploration in socio-political paranoia.

EL-P's debut as a solo rapper gets him in front of the mic instead of behind the mixing boards. El Producto's music is cerebral, angry, mischievous and brilliant as usual. This album has incredible beats and instrumentals, and in fact a purely instrumental release is available.
EL-P's lyrics are interesting, though not easily accessible being filled with glib insider insults and abstract symbolism as often as any readily decipherable content. The one weakness that is readily apparent is that EL-P has trouble tempering his spitfire lyrical style with discipline and occassionally gets slightly ahead of or behind his own phat beats. In other words, his flow could use some work.
Great listen for anyone who enjoys underground hip-hop. Would also have alot of cross over appeal to fans of metal and punk.
