3.5 great | LoLifant | October 25th 14 | Following the debut album Signals, the five guys from Mallory Knox live up to expectations with their sophomore release Asymmetry. All songs, except for maybe one, stand out from one another thanks to some experimentation here and there, or at least deliver catchy and also interesting refrains - which still resemble the greatest strength of this band. Another noteworthy aspect is a well done production, which brings a kind of clean sound to the instrumentation and results in an surprisingly well working contrast with the somewhat rough voice of singer Mikey Chapman. While not thoroughly innovative, there's widely enough identity to it so that you couldn't really ask for more from a record of this nature.
