A really cool album that unfortunately falls way short of its potential. Great instrumentation and great vocals, nut for example the piano parts are way underused and could be knitted into the song-structures to add way more emotional and harmonic expression. Similarly, the song-structures remoind of early Opeth in sounding very knotty and jagged. The riffing, wank (like on standout Obscure Oblivion) and criminally underused jazzy and classical piano-stops were my fabvourite moments.
