Really hard album to rate. The guitarwork really stands out again, and every song is great, but mid-tempo just doesn't suit The Menzingers well. These songs just don't hit as hard for me. It's a better overall album than OTIP, but doesn't reach the highs of that album.
An excellent follow up to the album of the decade, Rented World sees the Menzingers putting more effort into singular songs than the album as a whole. This of cause means that it is missing a bit of red thread. The album is incredibly crafty, and it has some amazing standouts, like In Remission, Rodent and Transient Love. A hard 4 (4.2)
