Though it may be quite enjoyable as it may stand, I shall declare this particular EP, and the vast majority of Cattle Decapitation's older works to be inferior in comparison of Monolith of Inhumanity and The Harvest Floor. Though as proclaimed, Homovore is quite an enjoyable EP that arises forth as the magnum opus of Cattle Decapitation's older works. An exemplification of such would perhaps be the songs "Open Human Head Experiments With Bleach Laquer and Epoxy" and "Carnal Fecophelia Due To Prolonged Exposure To Methane".

Even with the occasional touch of dark humor, Cattle Decapitation's Homovore is hardly anything worth coming back to. The songs themselves are decent for the most part, but Travis Ryan's unrefined vocals here kind of butcher their replay value.

One of the better early Cattle Decapitation releases. This rules hard with riffs and drums, but the vocal production is still a bit annoying. Good songs overall, though they are a bit underdone.

Low quality recording with occational mess ups in the double-bass drum track's timing and consistency. Overall...sloppy.
