This is one of the best death metal albums I've heard in years. It's an insane vortex of technicality and melody that is filled with top-notch riffing. All the instruments are on point and full of life. If you like spectacular tech death in the same vein as Vale of Pnath or Fallujah, then you will absolutely love this record.
With clever songwriting, crazy technicality, some symphonic elements added and a massively improved production, Inferi manages to take their sound to a completely new level. Riffs are furious, drumming relentless, vocals nasty, and solos insane. On top of that, you get an extremely sexy art work in the package as well.
I can't stop listening to this album. I've blown out my car speakers... I've alienated friends and co-workers with 5AM death metal from what seems to be some of the best musicians I've had the pleasure of listening to... and I feel as though EVERYONE should at least get a chance to hear this band... this album for sure... in-fucking-credible!
The bands sound is really amazing because of the "theme" that they have crafted is perfect. Listening to the album is not boring in any parts of the songs. They are all enjoyable and a treat for the metal ears.
Hands down the best Death Metal album of 2014! "The Path Of Apotheosis" is an album that gives us hope in a very saturated genre. It's melodic, brutal and very tech heavy. Inferi also have one of the best and most unknown dual guitar attacks in the Death Metal. What excites me most about this release is not just the musicianship demonstrated on this album, but the atmosphere that is created within the music itself. Why Inferi is not signed to a notable metal label is beyond me. An "Instant Classic" in this genre!
Not much needs to be said. This is the finest melodic death metal I've ever heard. Its technical, blackened, chock full of sweet riffs, ridiculous solos, epic lyrics, and hyper-fast to boot. Instant classic!
