When I received this album, all I knew about Led Zeppelin was the song title "Stairway to Heaven". It is a great, mythic song, but thankfully this compilation showed me that the legendary status of LZ was not created by this song alone. Every song on this album rocked my socks and introduced me to one of my favourite bands. Sure, there probably could've been more songs on it, but I imagine that a guy like me would get 'lost' in 25 songs. This album showcases some of the greatest riffs ever by the quadruplet, their energy, versatility, showmanship and songwriting. Now I got I to IV in my collection, because this album left me wanting more. Not necessesarily something that would happen if "every" hit was on it. And I love the cover.
Led Zeppelins early days is defantly got many many classic songs and some of the best songs ever but the main problem is that it lacks too many of the bands best songs. yes,i know compilations cant have everything but this should have at least had more then 13 songs on it. still a great album though
Pretty good greatest hits but its is defenatly missing songs. Songs like Misty Mountain Hop, Out On the Tiles, Tangerine, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Bring It On Home, Thank You and many others. Its cramed with the singles but not all of the great songs are singles. Again great but it could be 4x better.
