Strong 1.5 - Skillet...Meh I do not even want to start this theme, but I guess I have to...At least the objectivity is gonna be good :--).... Now for real though...Skillet is ,,The gateway into metal and hard rock for most angsty christian kids''. Sadly for me I am not christian, and the lyrics on most ,,Skillet'' releases are just pretentious piece of garbage, so I've never fell for this band as many of my contemporaries did. Just to sum this album up, it is cheesy post-grunge, off course thematically it is mainly about christianity, which isn't a bad thing, but some bands are just lyrically disabled...Skillet is one of them....,,I'm scared of being hurt, I just want to live, live a happy life!''... sonically this record is just another predictable post-grunge release, ,,Skillet'' really tries hard to be Christian Nirvana...But as on many post-grunge releases there are some alright track, but mostly it lacks memorability or anything interesting
Highlights: ,,I can'' ,,Promise Blender'' ,,Boundaries'' Well this is quite objective soundoff isn't it....
