This album is hit or miss for me. The faster moments become pretty epic and I like the solo rand the moody intro/outro on Embrace Nothingness, but overall I think this album lacks what rthe previous albums had (and I really enjoyed those albums). For one, the mixing is not that rgreat. The whole album sounds kind of muffled. I mean I can understand a band like Mayhem or rDarkthrone in doing this, but Oceano is a whole different page. Also, this album is a bit rtoo focused on being heavy that it just all sounds kind of repetitive, and I like heavy rmusic, but this is not my kind of heavy (Meshuggah, Suffocation, Strapping Young Lad etc.. rdo the job for me). Vocal-wise this album just becomes to cheesy at times, like the rspoken word or even the clean singing. I think Adam has a great voice and I can recognize rhim instantly, but he should really stick to highs and lows. But even then, the highs and rlows on this album do not sound that great as on the previous albums.
