The Game isn't a bad Rapper, but really, with the amount of money that must have been thrown at this album in terms of production, along with 50 Cent's (alleged) ghostwriting, anyone could have made this album sound good. The production credits here pretty much read like a who's-who of mainstream Hip-Hop. Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Kanye West, Scott Storch, Just Blaze and even Eminem contribute tracks to the album, along with underground stalwarts Buckwild and Havoc.
As for The Game, like I said, he isn't bad, but he has a tendency to be pretty hit-and-miss. The first half of the album is pretty good, but after the title track the songs become a lot less interesting. It would also help if The Game could resist name-dropping NWA, Tupac or any other Rap legend in every second verse. For a fans of mainstream Hip-Hop you could do a lot worse but despite what The Game says, "Ready To Die, Reasonable Doubt and Doggystyle in one" this is not.
